Over the summer, a great team of people (meet them) from Canvas traveled all the way to Mexico to build a house for a family in need with an organisation called Casas por Cristo. Because of this team, a family in Juarez, Mexico that would have otherwise been unable, has a house of their own. Take a look at a few of the photos from the trip below. We’re Going to Mexico

This summer, after everyone has aced their exams and finished their courses, Canvas is going to Mexico! There are a lot of families in Mexico who don’t have proper housing, so fifteen people from Canvas are going to build a house for a family who really needs one. Here are a few of the fearless team who will be making this trip and making a difference:
We’re flying into Atlanta, Georgia, jumping into a big van, and road tripping across America into Mexico. We’ll spend 4 days there building a house with our own two hands. Hammering, cutting, drilling, and plastering. After 4 days we’ll hand the keys of the new house over to the family who will live there. Then we’ll jump in a van and drive home. Oh, and we’re also going to stop in some cool cities along the way to do a little touristy sightseeing. Can you blame us?

Canvas are teaming up with Casas por Cristo to build a house for a family in need in Juarez, Mexico this summer. We’d love to take a whole group of people to make it an even better experience for all. If you’d like to be a part of a trip like this, one that radically changes the life of a family, come to Canvas tonight (Thursday) at 8pm for a quick informational meeting (here’s more information on the Facebook event page).
If you have any interest at all and can make the time, you’ll definitely not want to miss it. Come be a part of something truly meaningful.
